Pouting/Bib

(Trisopterus luscus)

Also known as the bib, is a member of the cod family. The pouting has a deep red/ copper body and often has a silvery banding around the body. They also have a barbel, an organ used to taste and smell. The pouting like to live in groups of varying sizes and will often be found together in wrecks. They can be quite curious fish and have been known to approach divers. They have a varied diet including: crustaceans, worms, molluscs, fish and squid.

Demersal, wrecks and reefs - feeding mainly on benthic inhabitants.
